Designed for desktop, computing, gaming and storage applications where performance, capacity and reliability are critical, the Toshiba 2TB P300 PC Hard Drive operates at 7200 RPM and features a SATA 6 Gbit/s interface. .
The model incorporates a 256MB buffer to provide a sustained transfer rate of up to 210 MiB/s, a 19% increase in data transfer speed compared to the conventional P300 series of PC hard drives.
These figures make the new P300s a highly optimized option to meet the growing demands of desktop computing, as well as web applications, gaming and data archiving work.

With this new technology, the superimposed tracks allow a higher data density, so that only the necessary magnetic surface is required for a correct reading. This is an advantage compared to conventional magnetic recording (CMR), where each track has to be separated by a small distance.

Consequently, the SMR approach allows higher capacities to be achieved within the same magnetic surface than with a CMR unit, resulting in a lower total cost of ownership (TCO). The cache architecture allows you to mitigate random rewrite issues.
Availability
