We can’t imagine Amazon Prime Video without ‘The Boys’. The series created by Eric Kripke based on the comics by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson is undoubtedly one of the platform’s gems, standing out for its original and unique approach to the world of superheroes. Here the “supers”, as they are called, are far from being the perfect vigilantes that we have seen in the past. Neither the Patriot is Superman nor Dark Black is Batman, no sir. The series satires the genre, treating the mighty heroes as celebrities and influencers run by a company, Vought International, who sells their services as if they were elite soccer players or, in other cases, puts them as judges on a television show.
The marketing strategies of the series do not go unnoticed either. He even has a Twitter account in the name of Vough International, the fictitious company that pioneered the “supermarket” business. Now, said account has published a tweet in which announce the upcoming reality show ‘American Hero’, with the Patriot (Antony Starr) and Starlight (Erin Moriarty) as representatives. It also includes a poster with the two characters mentioned and five others, the logo of the program and the text “Coming soon to Vought+”. It seems that the company is not enough to have a monopoly on superheroes, but also has its own online streaming service. The objective of the program is “search for the next great superheroes to join The Seven”, name that receives the “template” of the company.

The third season of ‘The Boys’ will again include the cast of actors formed by Antony Starr, Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Tomer Capon, Colby Minifie and Claudia Doumit. In addition, it will feature the new additions of Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy, Sean Patrick Flanery as Gunpowder Laurie Holden like the Crimson Countess, Miles Gaston Villanueva as Drummer Boy and Nick Wechsler like BlueHawk.
the craziest season
The black humor and the more explicit violence are two of the characteristic features of ‘The Boys’ that we will have already perceived, and too much, in previous seasons. If the second one took things “to the next level”in the words of Antony Starr himself for TVLine, the third installment does not expect to be far behind.
On the other hand, showrunner Eric Kripke spoke in an interview last year (via ComicBook) about the focus of the series’ third season. “Without giving away any spoilers, I was at the cut yesterday, and we’re doing something here at the season three premiere that I not only think it’s the craziest thing we’ve ever done, but it has to be up there with the craziest thing anyone has ever done.”.
‘TheBoys’ It will premiere its third season on June 3 on Amazon Prime.
