‘The Boys’ is the jewel in the crown of Prime Video. The savage superhero satire has won over fans and critics alike, surprising with six Emmy nominations last year, including Outstanding Drama Series. After the recent appetizer in the form of ‘The Boys Presents: Diabolical’ animated anthology series, the third season premieres on June 3 on the streaming service.
The day is getting closer and the promotional campaign is launched with the first poster, centered on Billy Butcher, Karl Urban’s character. Although it is a simple poster, it gives us key information about the new installment in the series. In the poster we see Billy with thermal vision eyes in the purest Patriot style. Amazon has shared the image in their networks with the message “The time has come to play by the same rules”which advances a major twist in the series.
The poster hints at a turning point in comics. To balance the scales in his fight against Vought’s superheroes, Billy and The Boys take Compound V to gain superpowers. For now we don’t have any more details on exactly how this plot will be adapted, but the poster and the Amazon message confirm that the series will go down that path without a doubt.

On the other hand, season 3 promises to continue raising the bar of risk and depravity with the adaptation of one of the most popular narrative arcs, but also the most explicit and controversial in comics, ‘Herogasm’, the great orgy of superheroes.
As the creator of the series, Eric Kripke, advanced in January, we will see this crazy plot in the sixth chapter, after everyone “I’ll dare you to do it”, according to his words. We are not prepared for what is coming.
