The coronavirus pandemic took Star Wars Celebration away from us in 2020 and had to be postponed for two years. The most important convention in the galaxy far, far away reunited with fans in 2022 and has arrived with fresh news that promises ‘Star Wars’ for a while. And although everything comes to an end and the convention said goodbye last Sunday, Lucasfilm is already planning the next one. The chosen site is confirmed: the 2023 Star Wars Celebration will be held in London.
It was on the last day of the Celebration that those responsible announced that the next edition would be held at the ExCel Exhibition Center in London. And not only that, but It was also announced that the event will take place in less than a year, from April 7 to 10, 2023.. The famous London center will welcome ‘Star Wars’ fans for the third time which, together with the one held in 2013 in Germany, will be the fourth time that the Celebration lands in Europe. Except for the 2008 edition that was held in Japan, the rest of the years have been held in the United States.

Since its creation in 1999, the Star Wars Celebration has had a total of 14 editions. The time that has passed between them has been varying, being irregular as a general rule. The fourth edition in the US and the first edition in Europe took place in May and July 2007, respectively. Later, the one held in Anaheim, the third in Europe and the one held in Orlando had a lapse of less than 3 years.
