Remote work has impacted collaboration and attendance requirements. In this regard, TeamViewer has announced its integration into Slack with the goal of allowing users to start remote access sessions via TeamViewer web-based and Augmented Reality (AR) support from within Slack.
This integration is based on a “web-first” approach, independent of the device, to further improve accessibility and seamless interaction.
“The addition of TeamViewer remote access and AR support will give our customers even more options to interact and increase productivity regardless of location or device,” said Alfredo Patrón, Executive Vice President of Business Development at TeamViewer.
TeamViewer and Slack
From now on, users can seamlessly integrate TeamViewer into Slack by downloading the TeamViewer app from the platform’s app directory.

With the new integration, users can share session invites for remote control or mobile AR connections directly in Slack direct messages or group channels to collaborate and support each other more efficiently.
AR connections
The addition of AR connections is especially valuable when you have to perform physical tasks. Allows employees to collaborate on a “See What I See” basis with a shared video stream. In addition to an audio connection, remotely connected experts can “virtually” point and draw in the field of vision of their colleagues to show details of what they need to do, as well as share files or use the chat function.
