At CES 2022, Razer unveiled a new concept version of its smart breathing mask called the Zephyr Pro, which adds an internal sound amplification system.
Features of the new Razer mask
According to the images provided by this concept mask, its appearance will be almost different from the original version of Zephyr. At the bottom of the interchangeable filter are two speaker grilles connected to a built-in microphone that can amplify users’ voices up to 60 decibels up to a meter away. Users can also turn the amplifier on or off using the small button next to the RGB input port, which Razer says will greatly affect the device’s battery life.
According to the description, Zephyr Pro is scheduled to be launched sometime in 2022 and will be priced at $ 149.99. However, it is about $ 50 more expensive than the standard version of the mask ($ 99.99).
Razer originally planned to add an audio amplifier to its mask, then known as Project Hazel, at CES last year, but dropped the decision due to concerns about device and battery weight. However, it has now been announced that the Zephyr Pro can have the same performance in terms of weight and battery life as the standard version of the mask.
Other features of the Zephyr Pro are similar to those of the cheaper model, including the N95 breathing masks housed in a transparent housing. These masks, using Chroma RGB LEDs, air conditioning and microphone, are very different from other masks on the market, and it seems that Razer, like other technology companies, intends to introduce its product with new features. Equip and sell it at a higher price, and it remains to be seen whether their strategy will be liked.
