Like previous FromSoftware games, Elden Ring has a multiplayer system that allows us to visit the world of other people both to collaborate with them and help them defeat final bosses and to fight against them. In the same way, we can also open our game to that other players help us or invade us. If we opt for the latter, for a combat PvPthe winner of the fight keeps the runes of the loser, ideal for leveling up quickly, something that also happens if one of the opponents leaves the game.
Bearing that in mind, a player from Elden Ring I tried to use cunning to get runes easily, without even having to fight: I decided that he will pretend to be an NPC of the open world of the game so that the invading player would not find him and would have to leave the game, thus giving him a good sum of runes. For this trick he had to get the full outfit of one of the guards in the initial area of the Necrolimbo, equip a torch and make the exact same route that the enemy does over and over again. As you can see in the video available below these lines, the idea worked.
More than 34,000 runes for doing nothing
The video is just over a minute and a half long, but that’s only thanks to the use of editing and speed-motion: in the actual game the invader had to spend a long time looking for the player he had invaded, trying to find him to fight him. The funniest thing is that before giving up he walks past him several times, but he acts so well that effectively mistakes him for an NPC of the game. Seeing that he does not appear anywhere, the invader leaves that world giving the invaded over 34,000 runesa whole booty as a reward for a magnificent performance.
Elden Ring It is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One and PC. You can read our review here and take a look at our guide here.
