The Group’s long-term ambition is well illustrated by the most recent financial results for fiscal year 2022, which confirm its acceleration strategy with steady double-digit growth and demonstrate its ability to cope with the next generation of cloud challenges.
“Our economic results have demonstrated our financial strength, as well as the economic growth of the company. This good data will allow us to use 30 million euros as part of our resilience plan, to reinforce existing data centers ”, explains John Gazal, Vice President of OVHcloud.
Cloud and sustainability
In a booming market, OVHcloud aims to accelerate its global rollout with the opening of 15 new data centers by the end of 2024 to address new markets and new geographies, while demonstrating its progress in terms of sustainable development.
With more than 20 years of experience in the design of liquid cooling systems for servers, the company aims to reduce its environmental impact with best-in-class usage efficiency rates:
- The PUE is between 1.1 and 1.3, while the industry average is 1.57
- The WUE is 0.26l/kWh, compared to an average for the sector, it is 1.8
OVHcloud is committed to cloud innovations in terms of security
The Group has pioneered a circular approach through its integrated industrial model and has already made the following commitments:
- Use 100% low-carbon energy by 2025, limiting the use of high-carbon energy and investing in renewable energy and other low-carbon energy sources
- Contribute to “Net Zero” by 2025, with scopes 1 and 2 representing almost 40% of OVHcloud’s carbon footprint
- Contribute to the “Net Zero” for all scopes in 2030, with scope 3 included, being the one that is mainly related to the manufacture of components
- Zero waste landfilled by 2025, for waste related to OVHcloud processes in the constant geographical area
