A single type of block volume supports all types of workloads, from the lowest cost to the highest performance, and is reconfigurable on the fly without interruption during loads. This results in a flexible service that can serve even the highest SLA business applications but at up to 95% less cost than other cloud offerings. New services and capabilities include:
- Flexible block volumes with automatic tuning based on performance: enables customers to change the performance characteristics of block storage volumes automatically in response to changes in demand. This is a unique capability in today’s cloud market that helps customers meet peak demand automatically, and helps reduce storage costs when demand is low.
- High Availability ZFS: Packages the ZFS file server in a stack high-availability automated deployment, which uses OCI block volumes for the underlying raw storage.
