More people join the controversy of The Walt Disney Company and the ‘Don’t say gay’ law. While members of the Pixar team denounced the main company’s censorship of their ideas and criticized how insufficient and hypocritical Bob Chapek’s letter had seemed to their employees, some actors have publicly supported the words of the CEO of Disney, including Mark Ruffalo and Vincent D’Onofrio, both members of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
“I want to be crystal clear: I and the entire leadership team unequivocally stand in support of our LGBTQ+ employees, their families, and their communities,”

“I want to be very clear: I and the entire leadership team unequivocally support our LGBTBIQ+ employees, their families and their communities”Ruffalo says, quoting Chapek’s words in the internal memo, to which the actor adds a terse “Bravo!”. Ruffalo is a staunch supporter of progressive causes and has spoken out in recent years against, say, Donald Trump and Fox News, so it’s odd that he would settle for Chapek’s cold-hearted attempt to appease critics.
D’Onofrio, who has played the Kingpin in “Daredevil” and “Hawkeye,” applauded Chapek’s promise to meet with the Governor of Florida to, in his own words, “make sure this law could not be weaponized in any way by individuals or groups in the state to unduly harm or target gay, lesbian, non-binary, or transgender children and families”.
This is good.

“This is good. Disney CEO to Meet with Florida Governor Following Callouts on ‘Don’t Say Gay’ Bill.” In this tweet, the responses mainly criticize Chapek for having adopted a neutral position and making “too little, too late.”
Everybody say GAY
A campaign has also been launched on Twitter against the law that would prohibit teachers from saying they are homosexual or speaking to students about sexual and gender diversity, filling the social network with the word GAY. Among the messages we find the contributions of Pedro Pascal, protagonist of ‘The Mandalorian’, also Ruffalo, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Mark Hamill, who is full.

When political commentator Ben Shapiro has quoted him as saying “I guess what you want is for young children to be indoctrinated in gender and sexual ideology. Because that’s the only reason you’re repeating idiotic propaganda.”, Hamill has not cut a hair:
Hi Ben,
I LOVE mind-reading acts! Now guess which finger I’m holding up…

Queer identity is beautiful & natural. Say it to yourself until you feel safe enough to say it out loud. Then say it again. And again. Say Gay all day. It needs to be heard and it bears repeating. All of you, ALL of you. Love is Love is Love.?? 3/3 -LMM
