In addition to having amusement parks, dominating the entertainment industry with the most watched series and movies of all time and having a virtual monopoly of 80% of the world’s merchandising, to say the least, Disney also wants to lead the vacation business. families with spectacular hotels and cruises, the problem is that you have to be very, very rich to access them. If already in March we told you that the house of the mouse would be having problems in Disney World to fill the hotel inspired by ‘Star Wars’, the Galactic Starcruiser, due to its high prices, it is to be hoped that it will be just as difficult for you to sell many of the new cocktails based on the George Lucas franchise that are offered on board the Disney Wish, the fifth cruise ship in the fleet and the largest of all those owned by the company, which is put into service this month, in July of this same 2022.
The drink in question it’s called the Kaiburr Crystal and it costs a whopping $5,000. Yes, five thousand, and as we see in the videos that people are posting about it on social networks, it is inside a container that opens with a smoke effect and what you put in your mouth is a shot that must be very tasty , or so we hope. It is true that this price is not overly surprising considering that a cabin on the ship costs between 2,000 and 10,000 dollars per couple, depending on the room, season and itinerary.
And what’s on board? Well, gastronomic experiences with themed performances that include the Worlds of Marvel, ‘Frozen or a recreation of Hollywood in the 20s. There are Broadway-style shows of ‘The Little Mermaid’ and ‘Aladdin’, you can have a picnic with Olaf and enjoy water roller coasters on the high seas. There are also 5 swimming pools, night clubs, spaces for children based on Disney characters and even a futuristic sports stadium. In addition, the 4,000-passenger Disney Wish makes a stop at Castaway Cay, the company’s private island.
How is the cocktail?
The Kaiburr Crystal’s recipe hasn’t been released, but it appears to contain Grand Marnier Quintessence cognac, yuzu, kumquat and a very expensive bourbon. You can’t stay with the container, but with the glasses you can, and includes flowers, a sparkling wine and a visit to the Skywalker Ranch vineyard where the grapes for the sparkling wine that you are going to drink come from. Although now everything makes a little more sense, it is still an exorbitant price only suitable for the deepest pockets and since you probably cannot afford it, we leave you with some videos taken during the presentation of the cruise to the media and some of the best reactions of Twitter:
