Making companies aware of the keys to digitization will be the objective of the DES2022 fair, which for the first time moves from its usual venue to the Andalusian city of Malaga, one of the main centers of attraction for innovation in Spain. The reason for this transfer is that, as Albert Planas, general director of NEBEXT, the event’s organizing company, has stated, “the Malaga City Council and the Andalusian Government have been working for years to turn the city into an international technology hub through different initiatives. In addition, there are more and more centers of innovation or technological excellence of international reference that decide to move their facilities to said city”. In this way, attendees are not only expected to learn about the latest advances that are taking place in the field of digital transformation, but they will also find themselves in an incomparable setting such as that of the capital of the Costa del Sol.
Both the City Council and the Junta de Andalucía have put all the meat on the grill so that DES2022 is a complete success. It is not for less since they are facing a unique opportunity for the Andalusian technological ecosystem to come into contact with investors and major international benchmarks and, in this way, establish professional and business relationships to attract new companies to the city, promoting the job creation in the ICT sector thanks to the boost offered by a fair of the importance of DES – Digital Enterprise Show.
luxury speakers
DES – Digital Enterprise Show has established itself as one of the most important ICT fairs on the Spanish scene. Last year’s edition was a success for both visitors and exhibitors and lecturers in a complicated environment due to the pandemic. This year, with Covid under control, the data from the previous edition is expected to be exceeded. To this end, the organization will feature international speakers such as Gunter Pauli, founder of ZERI (Zero Emissions Research and Initiatives) and entrepreneur, who will speak about the blue economy. Liz Parrish, CEO of the biotechnological company BioViva Science, will present her advances in her research to develop a method that will reverse the aging of cells and allow us to extend life expectancy.

Likewise, Jesús Hernández Galán, director of Accessibility and Innovation at the ONCE Foundation, will analyze how technology can help people with disabilities to increase their autonomy. Other confirmed experts who will share their vision and experience are Andy Stalman, CEO of Totem Branding; Andrea Bonime-Blanc, CEO of GEC Risk Advisory; Eva Snijders, CEO of Genetikomm; Marc Vidal, founder of AllRework; Christophe Trappe, Content Strategy at Voxpopme; and Paulina Tenner, founder of GrantTree.
The event to discover the reality of digitization
The pandemic has accelerated the digitization processes of all companies, which have seen the value it brings. The projects are numerous, in such a way that it is practically impossible to know in detail where the trends in digital transformation are going. DES2022 wants to make all these projects available to visitors and what is the reality and the challenges that organizations face. For this reason, the motto of this edition “Reimagine Business” is more appropriate than ever.
More than 400 experts from around the world will share their strategies and success stories of digital transformation and will show how technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Cybersecurity, Big Data, Virtual Reality, Blockchain or 5G have managed to carry out projects for industry 5.0, retail and logistics, health, smart cities, banking, or tourism and hospitality. It is, therefore, a unique opportunity for CEOs, CIOs, CMOs, CDOs, CFOs, or Human Resources managers to find out where the different digitization projects are going and how they can apply these projects to their organizations.
