Charmex improves network structure and management with Zyxel

Charmex Internacional is a company specializing in the audiovisual sector that began its professional career in 1986 in the business-to-business category to be the leading provider of technology applied to communication. Recently, Charmex Internacional decided to look for a self-managed solution that would allow easy administration of network electronics in a centralized manner and thus opted for Zyxel, with its integrator partner TIC-Systems.

It was about changing the network infrastructure of the entire company, a task that involved all the company’s headquarters, including part of its CPD that is located in ACENS (Telefónica). Now, thanks to the implementation of the project, Charmex Internacional has easy web access for firewall configurations and, above all, thanks to Nebula, it allows employees to access the network from anywhere, and if necessary, make changes by managers.

As Isaac Alós, IT Manager & Displays Technical Consultant at Charmex Internacional, comments, “we were looking for a self-managed solution that would allow us to easily manage network electronics in a centralized way (Firewalls, Switches and AP’s). Thanks to Zyxel and its Nebula cloud panel, we have found this solution and our day-to-day in the IT Communications department is much lighter and more dynamic. Changing settings is easy, fast and intuitive for all of our technicians.”

One solution for company-wide communications

The challenges were clear: changing the company’s network infrastructure and building IPSEC tunnels to the DPC, transferring network management to the cloud and achieving real-time control and visualization of the corporate network.

The benefits achieved have been truly numerous, according to Isaac Alós. Among them, the organization now has easy web access for firewall and switch configurations, access to network configuration from anywhere thanks to Nebula, and greater agility and control of networks by the IT Communications Department. Another important point to highlight is the SecuReporte reporting module, where Charmex Internacional finds real-time information on all threats and intrusion attempts, something that applies certain policies to security teams.
