A very decaffeinated start for the MWC22 on its first day. The most influential connectivity event in the world showed a low influx this Monday in the early hours of the morning, rising as the hours passed, but without achieving figures like those of previous years, prior to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Under the slogan, `Connectivity Unleashes´, attendees were able to enjoy a total of 1,500 exhibitors, as well as access to more than 1,000 speakers. This edition is focusing on the power of connectivity and the innovative technologies that will build today’s industry and society.
Mats Granryd, General Director of the GSMA, was in charge of opening the new edition with these words, “We are delighted to see how vitality is returning to Barcelona. This edition of the MWC offers a collective opportunity to show how the digital ecosystem will transform lives, while supporting global recovery through mobile technology.”
Below we present the most outstanding novelties of the first day of MWC22
Ultra fast charging with OPPO
OPPO has introduced two key breakthroughs in high-speed fast charging: 150W SUPERVOOC with Battery Health Engine (BHE), and SUPERVOOC fast charging technology. 240W
Thanks to the integration of BHE within the SUPERVOOC ultrafast charge At 150W, the battery is capable of maintaining 80% of its original capacity after up to 1,600 charge cycles, doubling the industry standard, and enabling extremely fast charging as well as increased battery health protection.
Since the launch of VOOC fast charging in 2014, OPPO has prioritized the full charging experience by leading the development of fast charging technology. We will continue to push the limits of high-power fast charging technology, actively address emerging issues such as deteriorating battery health, and provide users with safe, efficient, smart and fast charging solutions that go beyond simple speed”, says Jeff Zhang, Chief Charging Technology Scientist at OPPO.
- SUPERVOOC 150W with BHE: This fast charge uses direct charging technology with two charge pumps that can support charges up to 20V/7.5A, all thanks to the evolution of the leading fast charge predecessor technology, SUPERVOOC 125W.
- UPERVOOC 240W: It is designed with 24V/10A technology on Type-C interface. It has three charge pumps and the power supplied to the terminals can be converted to 10V/24A. It conforms to the specifications of existing devices and has been tested in terms of heat dissipation, ensuring optimal efficiency and increased safety. In addition, the leading battery discharge capacity allows the hardware to support a maximum of 240W.
