According to the GSMA, 5G connections will exceed 1 billion in 2022 and 2 billion in 2025. There are currently nearly 200 active 5G networks in seven countries, including 68 operators providing 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) services and 23 offering 5G stand-alone (SA) services. All of this supports consumer demand, fueled by a growing portfolio of 5G-enabled smartphones in various price ranges.
