Watching the best horror movies among the various movie titles is a great way to discover our fears, and of course most of these works also teach us how to deal with those fears. But as a particular audience of works in this genre, I thought rating the best horror film in the history of cinema was a fun and easy project. But while choosing the options, I had a strange headache and confusion.
So, please do not focus too much on the actual “ranking”, although it is always fun to discuss top works in a list like this, but note that the works in this list are ranked from classic to modern. Misery (1990)

Another of Stephen King’s landmark adaptations, this work focuses on a writer who is severely injured in a car accident and rescued by a retired nurse who is one of his biggest fans. The nurse brings him home to take care of his health and keep him in prison forever. Undoubtedly, horror lovers should watch this movie.
Poltergeist (1982)

There are videos of vacant homes and, of course, movies like Poltergeist that make you explore your neighborhood to make sure you have not built your new home over any cemetery or human burial ground. Based on a design by Steven Spielberg, the film focuses on a suburban family where evil spirits invade their home and kidnap their daughter. Thus, this supernatural classic depicts a family traveling from the countryside to the devil’s lair without them leaving the house.
The Silence of the Lambs starring Anthony Hopkins (1991)

If you’re a fan of psychological horror, you should see The Silence of the Lambs, which focuses on the psychological aspect through Hannibal Lecter, his symbolic villain, and his conversations with FBI agent Clarice Starling. Some will argue that this is not a scary movie. I argue that it certainly is, at least in part, and that part is downright horrible.
Ted Levine, the film’s killer superhero character, credits the film’s horror with his buffalo’s role as a buffalo, but let’s be direct for a moment: literally everyone who has worked on this suspenseful crime classic. They have been at the peak of their professional performance. The film took home the top five Oscars! This is (almost) unprecedented.
